Police rushed to the hospital in critical condition after a car hit and dragged for a few blocks in Brooklyn.
DLS VIV was one of six officers in civilian clothes, responded to a series of calls that are received on the «hotline 911» around midnight on Saturday. Callers reported a shooting at the intersection of East 53rd and Tilden Avenue.
On arrival officers found that the group of people is celebrating a holiday, and gunshots were really fireworks, — said the Commissioner of police of new York James O’neil. VIV officer approached a parked on the roadside car to Hondato ask the occupants about what is going on. However, suddenly the car drove. He knocked and then brought the officer a half-block down the street. VIV managed to produce two shots and wounding the driver. He stopped the car between Snyder and Church Avenue on East 53rd Street. Inside the car, people immediately left it and disappeared.
The COP was taken to Kings County Hospital in critical condition. The driver of the Honda, who turned 15-year-old, was taken to Brookdale Hospital in serious condition.
As it turned out, the suspect, despite his young age, has an extensive criminal record. May 16 this year he was arrested for Grand theft. Even before he was prosecuted for threatening with a deadly weapon. A Honda car driven by a teenager, was deported to long island for a few days before the incident.
Officer VIV’ve been a COP for 9 years. He is also a two-year-old daughter.
