On thanksgiving, an elderly resident of Fresno, California, wanted to please with a festive dinner, a sick wife, but he failed. Trying to bake a Turkey in the back yard, would-be cook burned the house and he almost died.
On Thursday around 11:00 local residents noticed a column of smoke that rose above the man’s house, located near East kings Canyon. Suspecting something was wrong, the neighbors rushed to help, without waiting for the arrival of firefighters. When the owner of a burning building did not respond to a knock at the door, they were forced to go without asking. Inside they found a sleeping man.
The victim and his family pet, a 9 year old great Dane Apollo, was saved. Wife at the time was an inpatient at the hospital.
