Fake UPS driver injured a resident of Queens in front of his child

The incident in new York once again reminds us that we should not open doors to strangers. On Thursday morning, 53-year-old resident of Astoria, Queens, got a bullet from a fake courier delivery company UPS. The attack occurred in front of his minor son.

About 10 o’clock two men began to knock at the apartment, located in a house on 24th street. Unlike most of its neighbors Mohibul Islam opened the door. Men are not aroused his suspicion because he was dressed in a UPS uniform and was holding a box.

The impression was misleading — one of the intruders came into the apartment, out of the box, the gun shot a foot to the owner, and then fled the scene. The motive was not robbery — the attacker did not take anything in the victim’s house.

At the moment the victim is in the hospital, and police are investigating the incident.

«It’s scary. Courier postal service is one of the last people who expect evil,» admitted one of the shocked neighbors.
