3 people were killed in the crash of a medical helicopter in Wisconsin

In Northern Wisconsin has crashed medical helicopter was returning after delivering the patient to the hospital. During the crash, three people were killed. The tragedy occurred late Friday evening in a wooded area near the town Hazelhurst situated 240 km North-West of green Bay.

Aircraft brand Airbus AS 350 B2 was owned by a private company, Ascension Health, Spirit, specializing in air and ground evacuation. At the moment of failure aboard there were no patients — only members of the crew.

On Thursday evening the helicopter left Madison and went to Woodruff. According to the County Sheriff’s office Oneida, at about 22:55 it disappeared from radar. The wreckage was found the next day, at 19 km from the destination.

The national office of transport security and the Federal aviation administration are investigating the cause of the accident. At the moment of the possible causes excluded weather conditions on the night of the crash was windless weather, good visibility, no precipitation.
