Long island school bus crashed into a house: 5 victims

Today, June 12, morning little school bus crashed into a house in the area of Amityville (long island),

The incident occurred at about 7:45 at the intersection of County Line Road and Ritter Avenue. The bus first struck a fence and then crashed into a building wall.

According to the statement Amityville School District, at the time of the accident in the car were five small children, whose bus was carrying at Western Suffolk BOCES’ James E. Allen Elementary School.

«A small school bus crashed into a house on County Line Road and Ritter Avenue in the Northern part of Amityville, and then the driver needed urgent medical attention. Five little schoolchildren were taken to hospital with minor injuries».

All passengers escaped with minor injuries and are now in Good Samaritan Hospital with his parents.

«Parents have been notified and all students were taken to hospital with minor injuries. The safety of our students is our top priority,» — said in a statement the school district.

Officials reported that the bus belongs to the Amityville School District.

The woman driver is in Good Samaritan Hospital in serious condition. According to witnesses, she shouted before the crash.

At the time of accident in the house were four: Gabby Collado, her 4-year-old son, brother and mother.

«My mom was in the living room, she suffered, — told Gabby. — She hurt her head and back. She developed back problems, so she was sent for an examination.»

It is unknown why it happened an accident. The investigation is ongoing.
