1 adult and 4 children died in the accident on the highway of the state of Delaware, police said. Another person was seriously injured, but his injuries were not fatal.
Senior corporal state police Melissa Jeff said that the pickup truck crashed into a minivan for the family at about 15:45 on highway 1, near Pine Tree Road in Townsend (County new castle).
According to Jeff, the first truck crossed the lane and struck a passenger car. Leaving the car behind, the truck continued on his way in the opposite lane. A few moments later he rammed the minivan, which was a family from new Jersey.

«It’s definitely heartbreaking, – said the representative of the police at the briefing. I can’t imagine what they went through».
In the minivan survived only one person. The local hospital took the passenger of the car, as well as
the driver and passenger of the pickup truck caused the fatal accident.
At the moment, unknown the names of the victims, as well as the age of the children because of the tragedy had not yet notified relatives.
The representative of the Department of transportation, Delaware Charles McLeod reported that the track where the incident occurred, was closed in both directions for several hours.
Delaware State Police Collison Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate to determine the cause of the incident and find the culprit.

A month ago on the highway in new Jersey overturned a school bus with 40 kids from a Jewish school.
