In Queens during the storm 3 people were struck by lightning

Yesterday, August 7, hundreds of lightning pierced the night sky of new York. Many admire this enchanting spectacle, capturing it for your own albums and social networks, but someone from electrical discharges and no photo will remain indelible memories.

According to police, at about 19.30, two people were injured during a game on the football field in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park. They were taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center.

«I saw two men lying on the ground and how some guy running to us, shouting: «Call the police!» — says an eyewitness Andrew Graneros.

One victim (30 years) is in critical condition, the other (42 years old) is in serious but stable condition.

A little later, around 8 yesterday, lightning struck a 33-year-old man when he was standing next to the car on the corner of 155th Street and Baisley Boulevard in Jamaica district. He was taken to Jamaica Hospital Center with non life-threatening injuries.

In some areas of the Big Apple lightning flashed in the background of the rainbow. Stunning picture has been spread on social networks.
