On Friday, Katie IDA Wolfe filed a lawsuit in Federal court against American Airlines and demanded $1 million in compensation for the incident with her participation happened on Board two years. The fight of the employees of the airline have not received wide publicity, but was flying as a stewardess Wolfe dissatisfied with the results of the internal investigation and the absence of measures by the management of the company.
According to the woman, she had the cabin crew dispute with flight attendant Laura powers, grew into a brawl: «She hit me with a cart with drinks on the arm, scratched his arm with his fingernails, and then was grabbed by the scarf and dragged him into the cabin to the passengers». Powers claimed during the investigation that a second flight attendant hit her door.
At the end of this dramatic flight wolf reported on the management of the incident according to standard procedure. However, according to the woman, anybody and did not take appropriate measures. Wolfe argues that in disputes and swearing was involved the whole crew, including the pilots, and American Airlines, not reacting to such a situation, showing «carelessness» creates a «dangerous work environment» and violating the terms of the contract.
Press Secretary to American Airlines Michelle Moore confirmed the existence of the claim, not commenting, however, specific allegations Wolfe, and said only that the company «strives to create a working environment in which all team members feel safe and respect each other.»
