Representatives of the police Department of new York (New York City Police Department – NYPD) on Thursday, January 10, told about the arrest of his colleagues.
The officer, being in an alcohol intoxication, at first asleep at the wheel in the middle of the road for the Bruckner Expressway, and when he was awakened by the patrol, tried to run. The man shouted obscenities at the police officers during the chase showed a characteristic gesture with the middle finger.
The incident occurred around 4 a.m. local time. NYPD officers have noticed on the highway suspicious vehicle. The gray Honda was in the middle of the road, and inside of her sleeping man. Police woke the drunk driver and tried to detain him. However, the 41-year-old detective John Glynn showed patrol the middle finger and sped up.
Employees of the NYPD began a pursuit of a drunken man, in which he created an emergency situation. During the pursuit detective shouted obscenities and continued to show the officers an insulting gesture.

Officers said that during the detention the employee of the NYPD was in an inadequate condition. Test for the presence of alcohol in the blood showed that its content is three times higher than the acceptable norm.
John Glynn was charged with driving under the influence, resisting arrest and reckless driving.
