Tragedy on Everest: three dead, among them the American

Three climbers died yesterday, may 21, on Everest, among them the American.

According to the Washington Post, who died American — Roland Irwood (Roland Yearwood) — 50-year-old doctor of the medical center of Georgiana, Alabama. He died before reaching the summit of mount Everest.

The other two dead climbers from Slovakia and Australia. In addition, missing Indian climber who felt ill while descending from the summit and got to the camp.
In search of the missing has sent a rescue team by helicopter.

Roland Illud already conquered the highest mountain of the world in 2015, and then he managed to survive after an avalanche. This year he decided to repeat his achievement and came back to Nepal.

It is also reported that the Department of tourism of Nepal has issued a record number of permits (375) this year for climbers on Everest. The increase in the number of climbers, probably due to the fact that many are unable to rise in 2014 and 2015.

So, the 2015 season was cancelled after 19 climbers died and 61 were injured after descent of the avalanche, caused by a strong earthquake. In 2014, an avalanche on the Khumbu glacier killed 16 guides.

The deceased American climber is survived by his wife and two daughters.
