The U.S. government has received thousands of complaints about the sexual abuse of children, illegal immigrants in detention centres

A loud statement was made by Congressman Ted Deutch.

He argues that the camps for temporary detention of juvenile illegal immigrants, sexual abuse of children. As a confirmation of his words the politician handed over to the journalists to the Ministry of health and social services of the United States (United States Department of Health and Human Services – HHS) about a few thousands of applications with relevant content.

According to published information, over the past 4 years in the Office for the resettlement of refugees (The Office of Refugee Resettlement – ORR) received more than 4.5 thousand complaints about inappropriate behaviour of staff. In addition, 1.3 million statements of a similar nature was sent to the Ministry of justice (United States Department of Justice – DOJ). Also mentioned 178 complaints about the direct sexual abuse of children in detention centres.

Documents provided to HHS after the request of the judiciary Committee of the U.S. house of representatives, which is controlled by Democrats. Congressman Deutch made no secret of his indignation, and expresses the need for investigation and verification services, is responsible for the maintenance of minor illegal immigrants.

«This behavior is despicable and disgusting and this is only the first questions that HHS needs to answer. They are required to report how the staff cope with their responsibilities and what happens to these objects», – said the politician.

The press Secretary of the Ministry of health and social services Caitlin Oakley confirmed the above complaints. In these papers reported a variety of violations ranging from exposure to pornographic videos of minors and ending direct interaction between staff and child is illegal. Oakley argues that HHS responds to every complaint, carefully checking the actions of staff and knowledge of the situation.
