In Queens elementary school teacher threw a book in the face of unruly 9-year-old student

On Monday, an elementary school teacher in Queens has been arrested for the January incident, when she threw the book in the face of his 9-year-old student.

According to police, it all happened during a school around 9.00 a.m. on 31 January in the school PS 253 on Central Ave near Wheatley Ave in Far Rockaway. That day the boy was acting up, not wanting to listen and participate in the lesson.

Then 48-year-old Loretta Myers took one of the books of the child and threw it in the garbage. The child is not confused and decided to throw one of his books in the bin but missed and it hit the teacher on the leg. Then Loretta lifted the book and dropped back, hitting the student in the face.

The teacher are unable to agree with the child’s parents and was arrested. Police said that on Monday she was charged with assault, injury to a child under 17, unlawful possession of a weapon and harassment.

«Myers has been arrested and is waiting for the investigation on this criminal case»— said Monday night, a representative of the Department of education Doug Cohen.

But new York is still far from Illinois, where East St. Louis parents of pupils in the town Edwardsville were shocked to learn about the investigations of the police and the district government in respect of teachers stripped for educational purposes delinquent small children and offered them naked in the open closet.
