In new York, the Amtrak employee shot in the head and then killed himself

Employee of the Amtrak shot his boss and then killed himself this morning, March 28, in Queens.
As reported in police, the incident occurred at about 8 hours on 39th Street and Skillman Avenue in Sunnyside (Queens), at the offices of Amtrak.

According to police, between Amtrak employee and his supervisor began to argue. During the conflict, the 48-year-old employee pulled a gun and shot 53-year-old boss in the leg.

After that the man sat in a black Cadillac Escalade SUV and drove about a mile to the Parking lot on 51st Street and Roosevelt Avenue. The district police immediately blocked that no-one was hurt.

When the car was surrounded by police, the man shot himself. He was taken to hospital where he died.

53-year-old head of the arrow was hospitalized at Elmhurst Hospital. He lost a lot of blood, but the police said that his life most likely out of danger.

The Amtrak representative said that the company was cooperating with the NYPD in the investigation.

«Police Amtrak has partnered with the NYPD in the investigation of the shooting incident in our Department, Sunnyside Yard. It did not affect the schedule of trains».

In turn, trains the MTA No. 7 have already begun to stop at the 52nd Street station in both directions (during the police operation, it drove without stopping).

The name of the shooter has not yet announced. We only know that he worked for Amtrak for 15 years.
