Firefighters of Los Angeles rescued a teenage girl stuck in the chimney

On Wednesday firefighters of Los Angeles rescued a teenage girl stuck in the chimney of a two storey residential complex.

Department of fire services Los Angeles answered the call in the residential complex of Englewood approximately 15:30 environment. They found a 14-year-old girl, partially stuck in the chimney of the house feet first. The Los Angeles Times reports that before the teen rescue, firefighters pulled the straps to keep the girl from falling further into the depths of the chimney.

The rescue team removed the brick and pulled the girl out of the chimney for 20 minutes. Department of fire services said on his page on the social network that the obvious injuries the child had, but she still was taken to the hospital for further examination.

About how she was in the chimney is not reported.

Firefighters told the Los Angeles Times that, although the cases where people fall into the chimneys are rare, they are not as unusual as it might seem.

For example, in 2013, the district Koreatown in Los Angeles in the chimney jam man for 20 years. He said that he decided to sneak into the house through the chimney after with friends drank alcoholic beverages on the roof and they dared him to do it. The man went with friends on occasion and the result is held in the chimney is greater than 5 hours until rescuers managed to rescue him.

In 2014 a woman of 30 years stuck in a chimney for 2 hours, when he tried to sneak into the house in thousand oaks to the man who just stopped to take care of it.

Brian Stevens, inspector of Department of fire service Los Angeles told the Los Angeles Times that many people think is «possible» to sneak in their own or someone else’s house through the chimney. «Can you with confidence state that in most cases the attempt is a failure,» he said. «The chimneys are very narrow».
