73-year-old grandmother grabbed the shovel and finished with a four-foot Cobra in his yard

An elderly resident of Pennsylvania, faced in his own yard with a poisonous five-foot (1.5 meter) Cobra, took matters into their own hands and killed the snake with a shovel.

73-year-old Katie Kehoe noticed the Cobra on the afternoon of Monday, June 24. This happened in falls township (Bucks County, Pennsylvania), which is located 25 miles from Philadelphia and just 75 miles from new York.

According to Katie herself, she heard the loud cries of birds, looked out the door into the yard and noticed in the grass a snake’s tail.

«The birds flew away, I approached the snake, carefully touched with a stick of her tail, and then she opened the hood. I realized that this is a Cobra» — said the brave woman channel 6 ABC.

Kehoe was barefoot, so I went back to the house for shoes and bravely headed back towards the snake with a shovel.

«Of course, I was amazed. It’s a poisonous snake, which is not supposed to be here, in Pennsylvania. I started to chase her around the yard. She lifted slightly and then I did it. Killed her with a shovel,» — said Katie Kehoe.

According to representatives of the Department of animal control, snake was an Asian Cobra with a length greater than 4.5 feet. The bites of these cobras can be deadly.

According to women, the Cobra got into her yard from the neighbors who could keep snakes.

So, in March of Aspen Falls apartments in falls township seized more than two dozen snakes, most of which were poisonous. The owner was keeping snakes in plastic containers, and a rattlesnake was right in the room a child’s room.

Alice Kaplan, the neighbor Katie Kehoe, called her in an interview on ABC 6 «drop dead cool».
