A man from Indiana who committed suicide in the result of a five-hour standoff the police, considered as a possible suspect in an unsolved double murder in 2017.
June 27 Paul Etter committed suicide after they were surrounded by police during a confrontation in Boone County. The etter was detained by a policeman who noticed that the truck which he was driving was stolen earlier in the day.
Etter became a suspect in the kidnapping and sexual abuse of a 26-year-old woman a few days earlier. Now he is also under investigation for possible connection with the murder of liberty «Libby» Herman and Abigail «Abby» Williams in 2017.
«His name surfaced during the investigation», — said Friday the County Sheriff Carroll Tobe of Lisenby, when asked if he could be related to the death of the girls.
13 February 2017 14-year-old Libby and her best friend Abby, 13 years old, went on a hike on a local Hiking route. Friends were supposed to pick up the parents later in the day, but the girls did not appear at the collection site.
