6-year-old Steven celebrated his sixth birthday last month in Legoland, told his father, Alberto Romero. «My son had a whole life ahead of you, and he was only 6. That’s all I can say.»

The boy came to the festival with his mother and grandmother, who were also hurt and injured.

The other boy’s grandmother, Maribel Romero, said her grandson was a «loving boy» who was «always kind, happy and very playful».

«It must be someone really sick,» said grandmother about direction. «Because to shoot the kid … I just hope there’s justice, and they will find the culprit. I want justice for my grandson.»

Speaking to the hospital on Sunday evening, Alberto Romero said, «I hope they find shooters.»

The chief of police of Gilroy, Scott Smith, said that one shooter was killed and another is still at large.

The second victim, Trevor Irby, was a specialist in the field of biology, which in 2017 graduated from the College of Cauca in Keuka Park, new York. He was at the festival with his girlfriend, who was not injured in the shooting.

«Our thoughts are with the family of Trevor and his family,» said Amy storey, President of the school, where he studied Irbi. «We are shocked that this case of senseless violence with a firearm resulted in the loss of one of our recent graduates — graduates, which we have high hopes».

Friends told the San Francisco Chronicle that Irby played football, baseball and basketball in high school and very memorable classmates.

25-year-old guy recently moved to Santa Cruz, California, with his girlfriend and worked as a doctor in a nursing home. The couple planned to return to Rochester, new York, next year.

«He was a really wonderful friend,» said Paige MacDonald, a former classmate of Irbi.

Aunt Kayla Salazar, Katiuska Pimentel said her niece on August 4, would have turned 14 years old, and she had to go to ninth grade.

«We just want Kayla to be remembered as a wonderful person,» said Pimentel. «She really cared about other people. She loved animals. She had big dreams and aspirations, but her life ended.»

According to aunt, Salazar loved to draw and wanted to become an animator. Was just caring, friendly kid who really liked to help people.

She added that her family is now difficult to understand what happened, and that they «are not able to understand everything.»

«I don’t wish it on anyone. It really is a terribly painful situation.»

Unfortunately, my niece Keyla was not able to make it and died at the scene. I have no words to describe this pain I’m…
