9 people were killed and dozens injured in a shooting in downtown Dayton (Ohio) in the night from Saturday to Sunday, 4 August.
Among the victims is the sister of the shooter, the man who last week turned 30, a young mother, the youngest child whom was born just last month…

Lois Oglesby, 27 years

Lois was a caring mother and a student, who gave birth to her second child last month, told the Washington Post her uncle Joel Oglesby.
27-year-old girl had just returned to work in child care after maternity leave. Joel Oglesby called his niece «my very own mother.» Lois was a nurse.
Megan Betts, 22 years

Megan was the younger sister of the shooter.
She studied Earth science and the environment Wright State University in Dayton and had to finish high school in 2020. This summer she worked as a guide at the visitor Center up a smokejumper in Missoula Montana.
Nicholas Coomer, 25 years

Nicholas was a graduate student at the University of St. Francis in Pennsylvania, where he worked on a master’s degree in the program of cancer treatment in schoolchildren. In Ohio, the guy was on probation.
«Nicholas has devoted himself to caring for others,» reads the statement from the University. In his Twitter account Kumer often quoted verses from the Bible.

Thomas, whose relatives and friends were called «TJ», was «a great father, brother and protector,» said his cousin Gavin Lamar in an interview with the New York Times. Thomas was the father of four children.
His friend Shannon Newell described Macnichols in Facebook as «cute and full of life.»

Logan Turner, 30 years

Turner worked as a machinist in Elyria, Ohio, and celebrated its 30th birthday just last week. At school he played soccer, and after graduation he received the degree of engineer at the University of Toledo.
Derrick Fudge, 57

Derrick lived in Springfield, Ohio, about 30 miles from the shooting scene. He was a native of new York.
Social networks often post pictures of their big black dog. «That’s my girl,» he wrote under one photo.

Beatrice Warren Curtis, 36 years old and Monica Brickhouse, 39 years

Beatrice and Monica were close friends.
