Police dog died from heat in a closed car in Illinois

In Oak Forest, cook County, Illinois, service dog Drago has died after he was left locked in the patrol car.

It happened in a forest preserve, Forest Preserves. As the Director of public Affairs Forest Preserves, the officer was interrogating the suspect. The day temperature in Oak Forest reached 33 degrees Celsius.

After Drago was found in the car, he tried CPR, but to no avail.
Drago served as a K-9 (service dog) for three years. In April, he found the missing resident with dementia.
