In Pittsburgh opened a huge failure on the street and «swallowed» a passenger bus (photo)

In the morning rush hour Monday in the center of Pittsburgh (state of Pennsylvania) in the earth opened a huge failure, which is literally «swallowed up» the rear part of the passenger bus and almost caught a car.

Emergency crews are on the scene on Penn Avenue and 10th Street, next to the Westin. They were called there about 8 o’clock in the morning.

As seen in the photos taken by journalists and eyewitnesses, the entire rear of the bus is a «funnel», and the front half sticking in the air.

As reported in local transport management (Port Authority), bus G31 Bridgeville stopped at a red light, when it opened a hole in the ground.

In the Port Authority added that the back of their bus is heavier than the front because that is where the engine.

It was initially reported that the cabin was 10 people, but later representatives of the transport Department said that there was only the driver and one passenger. Fortunately, they almost did not suffer and were able to leave the bus, stood «up». The passenger was taken to the hospital, he was diagnosed with minor injuries.

Penn Avenue between 9th and 10th Street is blocked off because workers are trying to figure out how to safely pull the bus. At the scene, drove a tow truck.

Representatives of the Department of public safety of Pittsburgh said that just in case evacuated children from the kindergarten building, Small World Child Care, which is located on Penn Avenue. Children were temporarily taken to the Westin.

Routes affected include: G2, P1, P2, P68, P78, 1, 6, 11, 15, 29, 31, 39, 40, 44, 86, 88, 87, & 91.
