Young talented gymnast died after falling from the uneven bars during a training session

The talented 20-year-old gymnast from Connecticut died after he slipped from the uneven bars during training and injured spinal cord.

Student at Southern Connecticut State University, Melanie Coleman, seriously injured last Friday after falling from the uneven bars, and on Sunday died in hospital of new haven.

Grieving mother Melanie described her daughter and her four brothers and sisters as «inseparable». Two sisters girls also gymnastics.

«She comes from a very large, loving family — seven of us, there were seven of us Kolbanov, said the deceased mother, Susan Coleman. We spent every day together for the last 20 years. We’re going to leave an empty place in all our photos for her.»

Melanie Coleman was training on the uneven bars at the sports complex of New Era Gymnastics in Hamden, when suddenly slipped off the apparatus. The family and the girl’s coach called the incident an accident.

20-year-old Melanie Coleman had previously reached the highest level in the program of the youth Olympic games the United States.

She graduated from law school in Milford, where he was team captain in gymnastics. On her page in social networks – a lot of photos with brothers and sisters and lots of gymnastics pictures.

After his death she became an organ donor.

«Melanie got angel wings and was able to give life to others,» said relatives.
