A snowboarder was buried under an avalanche, which he accidentally caused

45-year-old snowboarder died on Sunday, December 15, after he «caught» the avalanche, which he unintentionally provoked.

According to the Utah Avalanche Center, a snowboarder was «caught, moved and killed» in an avalanche and completely buried.

The Summit County Sheriff Justin Martinez tweeted that the victim was dug up and tried to save, but ultimately he died.

Utah Avalanche Center together with experts from Park City and Canyons today, December 16, will investigate the incident.
