A woman from Iowa was hit by a car 14 years old girl for what she is «Mexican»

A woman from Iowa, admitted to authorities that she intentionally hit a teenage girl with her car because she was Hispanic, reported on Friday by the police.

Nicole Marie Poole Franklin, 42, of des Moines, Iowa, is accused of attempted murder. She was hit by a car 14-year-old Natalia Miranda, which went to a basketball game in high school Indian hills. The incident occurred in Clive 9 December 2019.

According to Venema, attempted murder is the most serious accusation that detectives were able to charge.

Investigators believe that the girl received a concussion, remained unconscious in the snow at least for 15 minutes before he regained consciousness and was able to ask for help.

«I want most emphatically to say that in our community — just like any other — there is no place for racial hatred or violence,» said Venema.
