U.S. officials: there is a high probability that Iran mistakenly shot down a Ukrainian plane

Two of the official representative of the US said it was «highly likely» that the Iranian anti-aircraft missile accidentally shot down a Ukrainian ship on Board of which was 176 people.

The insider, who was present at the intelligence briefing, told CBS that, apparently, near the crash site was discovered parts of rockets.

President Donald trump, speaking at the White house, said the plane, which was on fire in the air, could be shot down by «mistake».

«I have my suspicions. I don’t want to say it, because other people also have such suspicions… Someone could be wrong on the other hand, the President told reporters. — Some people say that the problem was technical. Personally, I believe that it is not even discussed».

General Abolfazl Shekarchi, the representative of the Iranian armed forces, told Fars news Agency that «the rumors about the plane is completely false, and no military or political expert has not confirmed it,» adding that their opponents engaged in «psychological war.»

The 752 flight of the airline «Ukraine International Airlines» crashed on 8 January a few minutes after takeoff from the international airport Tehran, Imam Khomeini on the way to the Ukrainian capital Kiev.
