Two mothers and their teenage daughters died in the crash, heading to a volleyball tournament

The authorities managed to identify the victims of a monstrous collision in the South of Missouri, which claimed four lives this Friday, February 14. They were two mothers from Louisville (ky) and their teenage daughter on their way to a volleyball tournament.

As confirmed Louis Post-Dispatch, the accident killed Carrie McCaw, 44, her 12-year-old daughter Casey McCaw, and 44-year-old Leslie Prater and her 12-year-old daughter Rian.

The incident occurred at the Intersection of 64 near lake St. Louis, around 11:00. Girlfriend addicted to volleyball while studying at the University, went with the children to the tournament in Kansas city when their van and another car suddenly crashed into a truck, whose driver lost control.

«It was awful. — says one of the witnesses, Stephanie Hatterer, which ran on the roadway to help the victims — at First I looked at the first car, where there were two elderly people. They motioned that all is well. [The truck driver] said that life would be, but he seems to have a broken leg».

However, then Stephanie approached the minivan, which was traveling McCaw with Prater, and «knew immediately» that both women are dead. Along with other good Samaritans, one of whom was a paramedic, they provided girls with first aid until paramedics arrived.
