11-month-old baby was hospitalized with a head injury after during professional baseball games in new Jersey got a broken player with the ball. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening.
According to police, a boy named Daniel Fonseca was in his wheelchair at the Skylands stadium in Augusta with their parents, when suddenly a broken baseball player, the ball flew out of bounds and hit the kid right in the eye.
At the time of arrival of doctors, the boy was conscious. He was immediately taken to University Hospital in Newark. Doctors diagnosed a fracture of the orbital bones.
«The child was crying, he was conscious,» said Shane white, a press-the Secretary of Skylands stadium. «The child immediately received the necessary medical assistance.»
White added that families are safe at the stadium, but must always remain alert.
