April snowfall provoked in Chicago traffic accident involving 60 vehicles

On Wednesday morning, heavy snowfall in Chicago has caused a massive traffic accident involving about 60 vehicles on the highway Kennedy. It is reported by CNBC.

Around 5:45 a.m. fire Department Chicago tweeted that lifeguards responded to the call received from the accident on the highway near North Avenue.

Latest update crashes on Kennedy. 14 patients transported to St.Mary, St Joseph and Northwestern Memorial. None of the injuries are listed as life threatening. 32 other patients were treated and opted not to be transported. CFD estimates nearly 60 vehicles involved pic.twitter.com/c4hWmGeg3C

According to the authorities, it is a night snowfall and icy conditions led to numerous crashes between cars on the track.

In the accident injured 14 people. They were hospitalized with injuries of varying severity. As reported CFD patients have taken to the following hospitals: St. Mary, SV. Joseph and northwestern memorial. None of the injuries sustained in the accident, is not critical.

A further 32 people received medical assistance on the spot, from the hospital they refused.
