Huge (and it’s not an understatement) tree, located at one of the houses in the Bronx, suddenly fell on Tuesday. The dimensions of the wood were so great that, falling and completely blocking the carriageway, branches it damaged three houses on the opposite side. In addition, the tree damaged the car, by an unlucky coincidence, happened to be in his way. The degree of damage to houses has not been determined, but eyewitnesses say that the destruction is severe enough.
At the moment it is reported about one affected that with minor injuries were hospitalized to the local hospital. However, the neighbours assume that victims should be more, because the tree fell about 9 a.m., when many residents of the area leave for work or on vacation.
Why the tree suddenly broke at the base and fell – not sure yet. But some residents of the area admit that the recent heavy rains severely damaged the root system of the tree, and that was the cause of the incident.
