Highway in Oregon flooded with mucus and acne (photo, video)

An unusual accident occurred Thursday on highway Highway 101 in Oregon South of Depoe Bay. A truck carrying 3,400 kg (7,500 lb) eel, rolled over, dumped on the road tons of live fish and its nasty secretions – mucus (these fish produce under stress). The driver of the truck managed to slow down in time and became responsible for road accident with participation of 5 cars. Suffered accidents, not only the roadway, but a few cars were nearby at the time of the accident. In addition to mechanical damage, cars received their «dose» of mucus and acne.

Fortunately, the people in the accident were not injured.

One lane of the highway was completely blocked for clearing. Eels caught along the West coast, transported for further shipment to Korea, where they are considered a delicacy. After the incident, the acne still was sent to Korea, reports The Guardian.

To clear the roads from pollution fire Department was forced to engage not only staff but also special equipment, in particular dozer. The pollution was washed away. However, it would not have tried fire, the unpleasant smell of fish will long remain on this stretch of road.
