Carissa Mulzac, a resident of an apartment building on East 21st Street in Brooklyn decided to call a specialist in pest control after he discovered in his bedroom a few bees.
Bees were flying and other apartments, one of them was bitten by a neighbor who suffer from allergies.

When the specialist arrived, he found in the ceiling directly above the bed Cherisse… a colony of 35 thousand bees.
«It was like, as if we’re in one of the shows of National Geographic, in the movie «attack of the bees,» says 26-year-old son Cerisy, Stuart.

Even Mickey Hegedus, a beekeeper in the third generation, were shocked by the findings. He cut in the ceiling of 4-foot hole and saw that tens of thousands of insects formed a colony.
«It’s just phenomenal, I’m impressed!», — exclaims Mickey. «I didn’t expect to see half of this amount». Honey actually dripping on the wallwhen Mickey used a special pump to remove the bees.

«How terrifying, that they can now live for years, and you have no idea, can’t even hear them,» continues the son Cerisy.

Only after seven hours Mickey managed to pick up all the bees. And as compensation after the fright Cherisse son got 70 pounds of wonderful honey, reports the NY Post.

The beekeeper suggests that insects likely made their way across the roof, through the holes between the bricks, and was able to build a colony for several years.
