In Passaic, new Jersey, firefighters spent the night fighting the fire that erupted in three-storey building at 684 Main Avenue yesterday, July 24, at about 22 o’clock in the evening.
As reported by rescuers, the epicenter of the fire was in the pizzeria Bruno’s, but the flames flared up in a matter of minutes, covering eight areas of companies and institutions located in the building. Fortunately, all of them at this time already was closed, and there were no customers.
Arrived at the scene, firefighters, teams from Bergen and Passaic counties initially tried to get inside the building, but later abandoned this, as the fire was raging almost everywhere, threatening to collapse.
Two firefighters suffered from the acrid smoke, he needed medical help, reports ABC. At 2.30 the fire managed to be localized and only in the morning to fully extinguish.
