In Brooklyn, the SUV knocked down 18-year-old boy and fled

Sunday in Brooklyn 18-year-old man was mortally shot down by an SUV when he was riding his skateboard. The tragedy happened just a few blocks from the house of the young man.
A 911 call was made around 15:10. Police responding to the call found an 18-year-old boy lying on the pavement at the intersection of West 10th Street and Avenue T. They added that at the time he was unconscious and did not respond to others.

The victim, identified by police as Alejandro Tello, from Gravesend, was taken to Maimonides Medical Center, where an hour later died.

After further playback from surveillance cameras in the area, police determined that a white BMW SUV was hit by Tello, when he turned South on West 10th Street, and then fled the scene. The driver responsible for what happened with Alejandro, didn’t even try to stop after hitting the teenager. Another car stopped next to the downed guy to protect him from oncoming traffic, when outsiders rushed to help the victim.

According to police, around 3 a.m. the car was found on Bay 14th Street. The driver of the SUV remains at large and the investigation continues.
