In new York a homeless man with scissors attacked people

A homeless man made a few attacks with scissors in the center of Greenwich Village on Monday evening. First, he threatened to kill the teenager, and then attacked two people, seriously wounding them both, said police.

50-year-old Douglas Gaston attacked two people in front of the headquarters of the salvation Army on West 14th St. near Sixth Ave. about 9 o’clock in the evening.

Presumably, he plunged a pair of scissors to the chest 42-year-old resident of the Bronx was shot in the armpit of another homeless man for 29 years.

Police said the victims were taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

It is unclear why Gaston attacked the men, but police said he may have said something to them before the incident.

Shortly before those attacks, Gaston threatened a 15-year-old boy with scissors, but the teenager managed to escape unharmed.

According to police, Gaston was charged into the attack, creating dangerous situations, weapons possession and threats. He is now under arrest.

Police said that he has nine prior arrests. Basically, he was charged with the shoplifting.
