18-year-old John Santiago from the town of Boonton, new Jersey, is accused of a sexual offence against a 71-year-old woman.
The investigation is still ongoing, and while it’s unclear exactly what happened early in the morning yesterday, August 1.
According to preliminary information, John broke into the house of the victim, stole cash from her purse. Then the guy went into the bedroom, the elderly woman was still asleep. He woke her and tried to rape her, but apparently, grandma was not timid.
She managed to fight back from the rapist, and he fled and the woman called the police.
As reported by NBC, John Santiago was arrested the same day. He was charged with burglary and attempted sexual assault.
