In Florida continued the trial of 47-year-old Helen Erickson, who was found guilty in the attempted murder. The sentence circuit judge Debra Jones Riva will make in October.
As reported by the Miami Herald, the court found that in may of this year she was in North Port, in the house of a 92-year-old Michael Tristano, attended. Michael is a veteran of the Second world war,who performed 35 combat missions on b-17 bomber.
That evening the man was sitting at the dining table when Elena twice hit him over the head with an oxygen tank. After that, the woman tried to wash off the blood, while Michael about an hour and continued to sit, unable to call for help as the nurse smacked him two more times. Then the man lost consciousness, as dawn Erickson is gone.
When the next morning, Michael’s daughter was unable to contact him, they called the nurse. The same as if nothing had happened, said that he would go and check it out. Out of Michael’s house she called 911 and told the paramedics that, apparently, the veteran fell while she was gone.
Fortunately, Michael Tristano managed to survive, and the doctor seemed suspicious nature of the wounds, and they called the police. When the man came to, I was told that happened to him.
«The bitter irony is that she tried to take the life of the victim by using that have helped him survive,» said assistant attorney Kennedy Legler.
It is not known yet only one – what prompted a nurse so cruel to do that to a man.
