Thursday, June 1, the court sentenced the 24-year-old Kristen Dale, residing in the Brooklyn district Brownsville, to 22 years in prison for manslaughter of her 4-year-old nephew. The incident occurred in 2015.
Dale lived in the same house with his sister Natasha Ali and nephew Ethan. She often watched him when his sisters were not home. Two weeks before the death of Ethan’s Kristen began to teach his oral spelling, but over time, the little one stopped to learn the material and refused assignments.
Kristen began to resort to punishmenta day before that fateful day she put nephew into a corner and forced it on for 45 minutes to hold the bottle at arm’s length. After that the boy fell and broke his lip.
The next day, February 25, when Ethan again wanted to do, Dale was too angry and beat him with a belt. With every stroke she uttered one of the letters in the name of his nephew.
Arriving at the scene of the crime, the police found that the child was dead. All his body: torso, back, buttocks, thighs, hands, the skull was bruised and black and blue.
The autopsy showed that the boy’s death was due to internal bleeding and damage to many organs in such a degree that they could no longer support the livelihood of the body.
“Regardless of which designate the verdict, I will carry this tragedy through the rest of my life. I need to mourn my nephew and cherish every moment that we spent together,” said Dale.
In addition to 22 years of imprisonment, the court sentenced Kristen to five years polyuranodon supervision.
