The recipient of DACA, claiming that it illegally was deported, was arrested for the second attempt of illegal crossing of the border of US and Mexico.
23-year-old Juan Manuel Montes was arrested by border patrol when he crossed the border around Calexico, state of California.
Montes claims that it illegally deported in February. Illegal because it is protected by the DACA program. But border patrol, in turn, declares that they have no record of it.
«He must have left the States voluntarily, automatically and immediately terminates its programme of protection of DACA,» — noted the official.
But Manuel was deported later, when he first decided to cross the border back. Re-crossing the border after deportation faces a two-year prison sentence, reports USA Today.
Recall that DACA is a program of deferred deportation that protects the rights of those migrants, who were brought to America in minors. The program took the last administration of President Barack Obama. DACA status allows you to obtain a work permit.
