A lawsuit in the Supreme court was filed by the member of religious organization «the Satanic temple», claiming that the law on abortion in the state of Missouri contrary to her religious beliefs. As the defendant Satanist named Mary (her surname is not disclosed) has named the Governor of the state of Eric Greitens.
The plaintiff’s attorney James Mac Naughton insists that the Missouri Law «informed consent» contrary to the belief of his client that life does not begin at conception.
According to the mentioned law, 72 hours before the abortion, the woman must confirm in writing the fact of acquaintance with the pamphlet, which States that life begins at conception and abortion is murder, reports MSN.
«She thinks that after conception it is merely flesh, a clot of tissues. But the state says: «Stop, lady, you’re going to commit murder», — commented the lawyer of a disturbed Satanist.
In the opinion of counsel for Governor John Sauer, in this case we are not talking about the religious and philosophical convictions, and, therefore, no violation of the law.
«The state is doing everything to impose on the women guilt and shame,» in turn, said the representative of the «Satanic temple» jex Blackmore, rose to defend Mary.
