Donald trump has banned most transgender people to serve in the US army

Friday, 23 March 2018, the US President signed a Memorandum that prohibits a certain part of transgender people to serve in the Armed forces of the United States of America.

In the signed Memorandum trump says transgender with gender dysphoria, which «may require long-term medical treatment with surgery and potent medications,» will be forbidden to serve in the U.S. army. The exception may be some cases.

In the list of exclusions mentioned about people who are «stable in their sexual identity over the last 36 months» before joining the army, and those who don’t need a sex change. Except are also transgender, who began to perform military service during the administration of Barack Obama.

«The new policy will allow the military to use a stable standard of physical and mental health, including those that concern the use of strong medicine against the people who want to join the ranks of the U.S. army,» — said the press Secretary of the White house Sarah Sanders.

Representatives of sexual minorities have filed a number of lawsuits in various courts, demanding to cancel the effect of this innovation. Several Federal judges have already ruled, blocking the action Memorandum. In their opinion, the decision of the President violates the U.S. Constitution. The Pentagon has stated that it will comply with the orders of Federal courts.

The LGBT community believes trump signed the Memorandum of restriction of their rights and discrimination based on sex. As emphasized by the representatives of sexual minorities, they have every right to defend their country like any other citizens of the United States.

«The constant desire of the administration to trump to Orient our military to the discrimination of other people is terribly reckless and absolutely not Patriotic,» says the President of the American Association of military partnership the U.S. Ashley Broadway-Mack.
