A police officer was suspended from duties after a viral video where he brutally beat man

Saturday, 11 August, police from Baltimore was suspended from duty after the spread on the network video, which you can see as he repeatedly hits a guy in the face before you fell to the ground.

Interim police Commissioner Gary Tegl announced the suspension of the officer with pay, saying he was «deeply concerned» by what he saw. According to Tagle, at the moment the incident is under investigation.

In the video you’ll see one of the guards talking to a man. When the civilians started to scream, a COP becomes aggressive and gets about 10 blows to the head unarmed. During the beating, hear the victim repeats several times: «What the hell is going on?» The second officer almost did not affect the partner. In the end, the attacker floods the man on the ground and tosses it, which apparently leads to injury of the young man’s head, because on the pavement you can see the blood.

After rapper meek mill has shared a recording of the beating on Twitter and Instagram (20.4 million subscribers), the movie quickly gained popularity.

The lawyer of the victim of Dashana Machiara Warren brown told the Baltimore Sun that at the time of the incident his client was not charged with any crime. The lawyer also noted that in June the man already had a run-in with the same COP, he said, called Arthur Williams. Then the victim was accused of assaulting an officer, disorderly conduct, obstruction and resisting arrest. After the last incident Mcgreer was taken to the hospital to get an x-ray of ribs, jaw and nose and suspected fractures.

«It was a brutal attack that humiliated and insulted my client, the community and the police Department,» – said brown.

The human rights activist of African-Americans and writer Sean king called on the Baltimore police Department to take a more stern action against their employee, namely to fire an officer and charge him with assault instead of suspend.

The incident occurred near Q’s Bar and Liquors in the 2600 block of E. Monument St. in East Baltimore.
