The captain of the nuclear submarine USS Bremerton Travis Zettel was demoted and relieved of duty the commander of the vessel, once admitted that during a stop in the Philippines took 10 prostitutes.
According to the Kitsap Sun newspaper, the investigation began in may of 2018, after received by the hotline of the Ministry of defence a call from a subordinate Settele.
As reported by mariners, March 1, their ship stopped at Philippine base in Subic Bay. Zettel allegedly said «ordered 10 girls in a hotel». Later, according to the sources, the commander saw «provocatively dressed women».
Zettel admitted to NCIS agents that pay for «female escorts.» In August, the captain received a reprimand, was relieved of the command of the vessel and transferred to the base Naval Base Kitsap. Also, it is demoted to the skipper.
The case featured yet another sailor Bremerton, who was seen in the company of 3 «local women, holding him by the hand.» However, in the course of the investigation he was acquitted.
