In one of the States, States were allowed to deny same-sex couples or couples of other religions in the adoption

Trump administration allowed federally funded Agency for the care of Miracle Hill Ministries to refuse adoption to LGBT people and fans of other religions.

Now in this and other agencies that «based on faith», can deny the Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Catholics and other members of neoprotestant faiths. One of the conditions for refusal: they must guide adoptive parents in other institutions or in the Department of social services of the state. On Wednesday, January 23, announced the Ministry of health and human services (HHS).

The Governor of South Carolina Henry McMaster asked the government about refusal in February 2018. In his address he thanked the President of Donald trump and the Deputy head of HHS Alex Michael Azar for approval.

«By providing this exception, the President of trump and hazard showed the world that, as Americans, our fundamental right to practice a religion, regardless of our faith will not be threatened under this administration,» said McMaster.

According to the Director of Miracle Hill RAID Lehmann, this solution allows organizations to keep their license and continue to take care of 200 foster children. Staff, foster parents and mentors, Miracle Hill must sign a statement in which they agree with key Evangelical beliefs of the organization.

But non-Christian groups and LGBTQ rights groups are outraged by the decision of the administration. The anti-defamation League (ADL) said that this decision set a «dangerous precedent» for the country.

«It is shocking that the Federal government explicitly authorizes discrimination against Jews, LGBT representatives and other», — said the Director of the ADL Jonathan Greenblatt.

The organization Lambda Legal, which protects LGBTQ, called the move of the administration to trump «unacceptable and disturbing».

«The administration trump continues to violate the most basic principles of freedom of religion, allowing these agencies to prioritize their beliefs and ignore the laws on non-discrimination, — said the representative of Lambda Legal, Kerry cook. Freedom of religion is a fundamental value in the United States, but none of our religious convictions should not be at the expense of our children.»

Human Rights Campaign, a LGBTQ advocacy group, also called the move «unfair».
