The story that rocks the whole of America seems to be coming to an end. The cook County state’s attorney has officially announced that the 36-year-old Dzhussi Smollett is accused of lying about the attack on him on January 29 in the heart of Chicago (Il).
The press-Secretary of police in Chicago Anthony Guglielmi said: for an actor it would be better if he would not delay the recognition. «We are trying to contact his lawyers,» he told the Post.

«Dzhussi Smollett continues to be a consummate professional on the set, and, as we have said, it is not expelled from the show,» — said in a statement.
As reported in Prosecutor’s office, the hearing is scheduled for today, February 21, at 13:30. Making a false statement to the police is a crime 4 class. According to the laws of the state of Illinois, if Smollett is convicted of a crime, he can be sentenced to three years in prison.
