The funeral home lost the remains of a woman. Her daughter sued for that $12 million

In Mobile (state of Alabama) the daughter of a woman whose cremated remains were lost funeral homes, will receive $12 million. This is the decision of the court of assize, held 8 years after the death of the mother of the plaintiff.

Mother Shelly hood, Cecil Howard Taylor Gardner, died in March 2011. Cremation women engaged in local funeral home under the name of Pine Crest Funeral Home.

According to court documents, the management of the funeral home promised to find cremated remains for several years! Only in December 2016, the General Director of the company finally said Shelly hood: they have no information about where her mother’s ashes.

In March 2017, the woman filed a civil suit. The jury’s decision was announced the family of the deceased on Monday, March 11.

The jury ruled in favor of the plaintiff. The Bureau accused of negligence and breach of contract. Shelly hood has appointed a mediator to resolve the process of paying the announced amount.
