Filed a $125-million lawsuit against the Weather Channel, whose «hunter tornado» caused the fatal accident

The mother of a man who died in a terrible car accident in 2017, yesterday, March 26, filed a $125-million lawsuit on the Weather Channel.

The lawsuit alleges that on March 28, 2017 in Texas «hunters for storms» from Weather Channel Kelly Williamson and Randall Arnall drove past the Stop sign. At a speed estimated at 70 mph (112 km/h), their car crashed into a car, at the wheel which was 25-year-old Corbin Lee Jaeger from the National weather service.

All three died on the spot about 55 miles (89 km) South-East of Lubbock (Texas). That day in this area was was the tornado.

«On the Weather Channel Kelly Williamson and Randall Arnall repeatedly ignored Stop signs, red traffic signals, and violated other basic safety rules of the road, trying to get footage for their show,» said lawyer Robert A. Boll from San Diego, representing the mother of Corbin Jeger — Karen Di Piazza.

That day, 25-year-old Corbin, who later planned to return to College in Arizona to pursue a career meteorologist, traveled to the West from the tornado when his car crashed.

The lawsuit was filed in Federal district court in Lubbock, Texas.

In a lawsuit against the Weather Channel says that «Arnall and Williamson has been a long history of reckless driving in pursuit of hurricanes, and when recording television programs».

The weather channel said that all of its employees are saddened by the loss of Corbin Jeger, Kelly Williamson and Randy Yarnall.

«Our deepest condolences to their families and friends. We cannot comment on future litigation,» — said the representatives of the Weather Channel.
