The school management has decided that the phrase “God bless America” after the pledge of allegiance unconstitutional

After considering the complaint, the school administration decided that the use of religious phrase violates the constitutional rights of Americans.

The conflict began when the parents of one of the students has lodged an official complaint with a non-profit organization “Freedom of religion”, which deals with issues of separation of state and religion.

School Director Peter Brigg completed the oath of allegiance to the flag a few years the phrase “God bless America” a few years. It has become a tradition. According to the manual, nobody forced students to repeat together with the Director of the phrase, but everyone could join. After consulting with lawyers, the school Board came to the conclusion that the religious message in the mouths of officials violates the first amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which forbids a state to use a religious message.

School Board draws the attention that despite the fact that the Director will no longer use the phrase on the loudspeaker after the oath of allegiance, no one denies the students themselves to say “God bless America”.
