«He’s just a boy»: in a viral video the mother of a 15-year-old, who has vowed to make the school shooting, burst into tears during his arrest

Florida state police have arrested a 15-year-old boy who threatened to organize a mass shooting.

«I, Dalton Barnhart, M15 swear to bring my father to school and kill at least 7 people,» wrote 15-year-old boy in the chat video games, according to the County Sherrif’s office Volusia.

Amid a wave of arrests due to threats of mass shootings, police in Florida released a video on his page on Facebook, which shows the mother’s reaction to the son’s detention.

«He’s still a little boy, and he’s not one of those crazy people who do such things,» said the mother, who was in tears.

The officers said that they can’t take that risk.

«How do we know that it is not the same as a child of the Parkland?» — told her during the arrest.

One of the assistant Sheriff, who was nearby, added:

«We can’t risk and we can’t say, well, we believe that this guy is not going to do that. Then it happens. And then we say, well, we had a chance.»

The mother also said that the online threats is a normal phenomenon of young people playing video games.
