Groom robbed a Bank to pay for a wedding ring, but surrendered to the police at the request of the bride

The man told law enforcement officials that he went on a Bank robbery to pay for an engagement ring and a place for festive events.

As told to the Sheriff of the parish of Trinity in Texas, the suspect in the robbery of a financial institution told authorities that his wedding was scheduled for the following day. «It is, in fact, claimed that the next day he’s scheduled wedding, and he had to pay for the venue of the festival,» — said Sheriff woody Wallace.

Heath Edward Bumpus, a former employee of service of Express delivery EMS, was jailed Trinity County jail and charged with robbery with aggravating circumstances.

The Sheriff described how the robbery went down. Bumpus entered the Bank, approached the teller and told him that he had a gun. He demanded money. As noted by the Sheriff, the weapon was later obtained from the suspect. He said that after the robbery Bumpus threw his clothes out the car window when I drove off from the financial institution. The Sheriff said that things were also found.

Wallace said that the bride of Bambusa saw a post on Facebook with photos from the video surveillance cameras of a man who allegedly robbed a Bank Citizens State Bank on Friday morning and identified him. She told the groom that he should surrender.

Bumpus followed the advice of his bride and surrendered to the police. Sheriff Wallace also said that a large part of the money received by the suspect during the robbery, managed to return.

The robbery occurred around 11:30 Friday morning Bank Citizens State Bank Growthone, as described in the office of the Sheriff of the County of Trinity.

Representatives of the Sheriff’s office told the school district of Grafton cordoned off as a precaution and no one could enter or leave the schools until the police decided that this is safe.
