Recall that in March, the U.S. government imposed a taboo on the carriage of portable electronics on flights from 10 airports in the Middle East and Africa. This decision was taken in order to prevent terrorist attacks. Intelligence agencies consider any device larger than a smartphone as a threat, fearing that extremists could use them to smuggle explosives.

The exception was made only for Etihad Airways — the only airline offering flights between America and the International airport of Abu Dhabi. The airline earned such privileges thanks to their exemplary reputation and the implementation of additional precautions in Arab airport.

Laptops, tablets, e-readers, game consoles, portable printers and scanners still can’t take on aircraft of the airline Emirates airline, which provides flights between USA and Dubai. The ban also remains in force in relation to passengers who fly from Egypt, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Morocco, Jordan and Turkey.
