The nanny broke the spine of a 4-month-old boy when he tried to make the child stop crying, police said.

Amy Godden (21) of Daytona beach, Florida, reportedly confessed to police that «could turn the baby a bit more strongly or aggressive» when he looked for the boy on Monday evening. Godden took the child to a hospital after he was injured at her home. Then the girl called the parents of the child.

The police said that initially she tried to lie to the police, stating that the child was injured when she picked him up from the swing, not noticing that his hand stuck between the bars.

Then, reportedly, Godden told the police a different version of events and stated that the trauma the child has received himself while she was preparing a bottle of food for him. She stated that she allegedly heard a sound while I was in the kitchen, as reported by the Daytona Beach News-Journal. The girl told me that back in the garden and found the child lying on the swing, and his arm was draped over the side. Godden said that the hand seemed broken, but the doctors who examined the child said that it is nearly impossible for the boy himself might self-injure in the manner described.

Detectives visited the house Godden and found that the swing on which the child was, you do not have rods, which could be stuck the boy’s hand. After it was brought to the attention of the nurse, she told police a different version, saying that when he tried to calm ward, accidentally pushed his hand under the body, leading to injury.

The report, compiled by police South of Dayton, said, «During interrogation, the suspect, her story changed several times, so we came to the conclusion that she was lying».

Godden charged with mistreatment of a child, and she is being detained without the right to bail.
